Aims and Objectives
The policing environment is dominated by global shifts in culture, technology and information. Changes in community expectations, workforce values, technological advances and policing philosophies are areas of concern to us all.
Our aims and objectives are to increase awareness and membership of the IACP within Europe, and as a result promote a greater understanding of our strategic goals. These include:

Integrity and ethical behavior in professional policing

Tolerance and appreciation for diversity within police agencies and with the public

Partnerships and coalition building with the private sector and community groups
|

Education about and acquisition of new technology
|

Expanded research efforts, especially regarding youth and violent crime trends

Community safety programs, especially traffic safety efforts

Active membership of the IACP is open to law enforcement officers from middle to command level staff.
